Enterprises are often confused as to how the Microsoft Azure adoption journey begins. According to B2B Chief Technical Architect Ralph Bolds, it all starts with an initial kickoff meeting featuring key stakeholders from the client and the managed services provider.
Depending on the individuals involved, the conversation can cover anything from overarching system requirements and associated business goals to detailed technical requirements. Bolds says he’s worked with clients on both sides of this equation.
At the conclusion of the kickoff, both parties walk away with deliverables. Clients are expected to come back with existing system specs, while architects for the MSP go off to develop an ideal combination of cloud services. Of course, this little get-together is only the first step in a longer adventure.
