Tyler Bithell, Chief Technical Architect for SharePoint, will be collaborating on a presentation with Pablo Saez, AvePoint EPG Account Executive, on how to use Microsoft Azure for SharePoint disaster recovery. During this presentation, Tyler will detail how B2B Technologies used Azure and AvePoint’s DocAve Software Platform to backup and restore an entire SharePoint environment. Tyler, along with his team of experts, was able to rehearse a complete SharePoint restore on a platform identical to their own working production environment. The Azure platform, revamped by Microsoft during the fall of 2013, is known as an emerging environment for SaaS, PaaS and IaaS needs. Those who attend the presentation will leave with a better understanding of the robust offerings of Azure and how it can work as a major tool during any type of SharePoint disaster recovery.
SharePoint Saturday takes place at different locations all over the United States. It is a free event to those who register on the official SharePoint Saturday Website and open to developers, architects, administrators, and end-users of Microsoft’s SharePoint.
